Pick Up Games & Registration
The BMBL is a draft league. That means six captains are chosen, and a snake draft is held the week before the first game. All players must attend at least one pick-up game in preparation for the draft. Your attendance is required to (a) register, (b) make payment, (c) take a photo and (d) get some practice time in for coaches and other players to know who you are (and assess your draft ranking).
Three different pickup sessions run from 7 pm to 10 pm (see schedule for more details).
Rules
- 2 x 25 Minute Run time halves
- Stop time in the last two minutes of the second half
- 5 Personal Fouls disqualification (Technicals count as personal fouls)
- 10th team foul per half is a 2 shot penalty
- 2 Timeouts per half
- All technical fouls are 1 shot
- 2 personal technical fouls are an automatic disqualification following week out (suspensions - if any - are the discretion of the commissioner)
- All games have two Halton referees
- All players must wear the full uniform
- Minus 5-point penalty for each player who is not in a legal uniform. The -5 points can be added only at the start of the game and at halftime if a player shows up after the game. This can be known as the "BMBL Uniform Rule." Only the commissioner can approve or negate this rule pending players' uniform status.
